Ticket for MCG Open Training Session (Beginner Level – Interpretation)

Description
Open training session for beginner level fencers in our Belfast training space in Donegall Pass, Belfast, on Saturday October 10th.
The session length is 1 hour. These sessions will run approximately monthly, and are open to all over the age of 18.
This training session will be a little different from the usual ones – rather than our instructor directly taking you through how to do x/y/z with a longsword, we’ll be supervising you as you work from translations of 15th/16th century fencing texts to form your own interpretations of the material. We’ll provide equipment as usual, and advice and support in the interpretations.
Whilst it’s a little different from the usual beginner level session, working with the historical texts is one of the foundations of HEMA and it’s useful to get a look at how all of the material we teach started out.
All equipment will be provided. Session will run from 1pm to 2pm. Full details will be sent on registration/payment.
This event is only refundable in the event of the organisers or venue having to cancel.
Full details will be sent by email in the week before the training session, please keep an eye on junk and spam folders just in case!
PLEASE NOTE – As these are limited to 12 places and in high demand, if we note anyone leaving a session in their cart/mid transaction for a substantial amount of time (an hour or more), we’ll cancel it to free the space up for others.
For this reason, we are also limiting spaces to one slot per transaction. This is to also keep us on the correct side of the terms and conditions etc. (i.e. you cannot purchase slots for two or three people and agree to the Code of Conduct etc on their behalf).
