In summary:
- Friday night – sort your own dinner out, a lot of people have dinner before arriving/whilst making the trip to the venue.
- Saturday night – MCG volunteers Malin and Eleanor are very kindly providing a homecooked meal, details below. If you have concerns over allergies or dietary requirements, you are welcome to use kitchen facilities to prepare your own, or get takeaway delivered to the venue or similar. We’ll be asking you on the registration form which option you’d prefer so that we have a rough idea of portions for each.
- Friday Evening to Sunday afternoon – breads, cheeses, biscuits, cold meats, fruit, and vegetables will be available in the main kitchen area for all to help themselves.
Saturday Dinner
We’ll be serving Tacos on the Saturday Night and people will be able to make their own from an assortment of fillings:
- Beef Chilli
- Shredded lemon grass chicken Chicken
- Chipotle black beans (this will be kept on the mild side)
This will come with lettuce, tomato, onion, bell peppers and grated cheese laid out so you can make up your taco.
For dessert apple crumble with ice-cream will be available.
Beef chilli ingredients: beef stock – chillis – chipotle peppers – pepper – plain flour – steak mince – beef short ribs – olive oil – yellow onion – jalapeƱos – garlic – diced tomatoes – tomato paste – apple cider vinegar – cocoa powder – brown sugar. – ground cumin – smoked paprika – salt – marjoram – cayenne pepper – ground cinnamon – ground cloves – allspice – black beans
Lemon grass chicken ingredients: chicken thighs – lemongrass – garlic – lime juice – Worcestershire sauce – dark soy sauce – brown sugar – vegetable oil
Chipotle black beans ingredients: garlic – olive oil – cinnamon – cumin – chipotle paste – black beans – salt – black pepper
Apple and Raspberry Crumble ingredients: Apples – Frozen raspberries – Golden caster sugar – Cinnamon – Plain flour – golden caster sugar – butter. Store bought ice cream.
